Viano Decor was founded in 2017 by Joanna Segoviano - a fun and friendly Latina from Los Angeles, California. Joanna comes from the real estate industry and is familiar with the challenges that realtors experience. As a realtor, she learned the strategic and valuable role of staging in achieving a strong return on investment. Her expertise and insights inspired her to start a home staging company. Under her leadership, Viano Decor been named of the Top 10 home staging Companies in the U.S. in 2022 and 2023.
Always the A-student, Joanna graduated cum laude from San Diego State University, earning degrees in psychology and Spanish. Her inquisitive and fearless nature led her to study abroad in Salamanca, Spain and conduct international research at Benemerita Universidad Autonoma de Puebla in Mexico. She continued her studies and experienced the “empire state of mind” at Columbia University in New York when she was accepted to a prestigious research program.
In addition to her stellar career in staging in Southern California, Joanna has written about her real estate journey in a book, Latinas in Real Estate Volume II: Stories of passion, resilience, and breaking barriers in the real estate industry. In the book, she shares how her values of hard work, persistence and discipline made her successful in real estate and in staging. Along with other inspiring stories from Latinas, Joanna shares her mindset for anyone willing to become successful and thrive as a business owner in the industry.
Envisioning herself as a multi-business owner in the future, she foresees "Casa Viano," a modern and trendy furniture store in Boyle Heights and a home decor line at Target. Accomplishments aside, her faith plays a large role in her everyday life and is continuously thankful for all the ways God has blessed her.
