The City of Commerce commemorated the moment with a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony, attended by Mayor Ivan Altamirano and leaders of the Commerce Business Council. Guests toured Viano Decor’s beautifully renovated space and were also able to view the first official “Art in Public Places” mural, painted by local artist Nerv Skyhigh. The artwork is a colorful tribute to Commerce landmarks like the Citadel Outlets, Commerce Casino, and the sunsets of Los Angeles—perfectly complementing Viano Decor’s passion for transformation through design. The mural is part of a beautification initiative for the City of Commerce, and Mayor Altamirano was proud to announce Viano Decor as the first installment of the initiative.
“There’s a lot of traffic that passes by here every day. People look at the buildings and judge our city by what they see,” said Mayor Altamirano during the event. “This building was in worse shape—but the gem of what Joanna created here is just remarkable.”
“This isn’t just a new space—it’s a symbol,” said Joanna Segoviano, Viano Decor’s founder and CEO. “Only 7% of commercial real estate is owned by women, and today, I proudly join that number. Here’s to breaking ceilings, cutting ribbons, and creating space for something bigger than just business.”
Viano Decor’s commitment to excellence hasn’t gone unnoticed. The company was named one of the Top 10 Home Staging Companies in the U.S. in both 2022 and 2023 by the Real Estate Staging Association (RESA), and was a national finalist for Vacant Staging – United States in 2023. That same year, Segoviano was selected as a featured speaker at RESACON, the staging industry’s largest conference, where she presented on building and managing effective teams—equipping fellow business owners with strategies to scale and lead.
This new headquarters brings added capacity for Viano Decor to scale its staging operations across many of Los Angeles’s neighborhoods. The larger space supports increased inventory, faster turnaround times, and expanded team collaboration—ultimately allowing Viano Decor to serve more clients with the signature sophistication and care that has earned its stellar reputation.
